The Chiefs of Ontario are seeking submissions for a request for proposals for Consultant – Political Review and Analysis Services.
The work being requested is for a qualified consultant to provide on an as-needed basis, ongoing political analysis and review services to the Chiefs of Ontario Secretariat Office throughout fiscal year 2025-26. This will include providing revisions to major reports, external-facing materials, communications materials, and other documents as identified to ensure messaging takes federal and/or provincial political considerations into account and is well-received by its intended audience.
Please note that the deadline to submit is April 14, 2025, 12:00 p.m. ET.
The interested candidate’s proposal must include the following:
- A demonstration of their expertise in providing reviews and valuable feedback that results in strong, clear and concise materials produced
- An ability to meet all project deliverables outlined below within the provided timeframe of May 1, 2025 – March 31, 2025
- A proposed budget for the completion of the work with a budget schedule not to exceed $110,000 CAD for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
As it currently stands, the Chiefs of Ontario have standard review processes in place to ensure consistency with mandates set by Ontario First Nations Leadership and to ensure that messaging is consistent across all sectors. The Chiefs of Ontario are looking to expand the existing review processes to include a qualified consultant who will receive strategic planning and external-facing documents on an as-needed basis and provide political analysis, review, and feedback to ensure that strategic planning is politically expedient, and messaging is well-received by the material’s intended audience.
For example, the Chiefs of Ontario create and submit numerous products such as reports, proposals, strategic planning documents, correspondence, communications materials, etc. to governments, First Nations Leadership, Tribal Councils, NGOs, and others. The intention of securing a consultancy firm throughout the fiscal year is to provide an additional lens to materials drafted by the organization and for the consultants to apply their knowledge and expertise to ensure materials are of the highest quality whilst maintaining integrity and alignment with Chiefs of Ontario mandates.
