The Chiefs of Ontario Research & Data Management Sector will host an update session regarding the RIGC Project prior to the 2026 Fall Chiefs Assembly on Monday, November 23, 2026 from 1:00pm – 6:00 p.m. ET.  

This session will provide an overview of the project’s purpose, approach, and opportunities for First Nations involvement in strengthening data governance and advancing data sovereignty. Most importantly, participants will share their expertise and recommendations to shape the timelines, next steps, and overall direction of the RIGC initiative.
