TORONTO (June 12, 2017) - The 43rd All Ontario Chiefs Conference (AOCC) will be held from Tuesday, June 13th to Thursday, June 15th at Lac Seul First Nation. This year’s theme is “Determining Our Path: Stability for Future Generations.” The AOCC is hosted by Nishnawbe Aski Nation in the territory of Treaty #3.

(May 25, 2017) First Nation children and youth are dying senseless and needless deaths in ever increasing numbers. The latest incident was the discovery of a 14-year-old child’s body last Thursday in a Thunder Bay river, where far too many of our peoples have died mysteriously over the past decade. We need both Ontario and Canada to act upon last year’s recommendations from the Thunder Bay Inquest into the deaths of seven First Nation youth.

TORONTO, ON (Jan 26, 2017) --- Ontario Regional Chief Isadore Day says that the new federal funding for child welfare support services is less than half of the funds ordered by a federal tribunal last year – and it still does not adequately address immediate and urgent needs.
